I went to my first production meeting for PSP/ Lear's Follies yesterday. I'm sad that The Storm in the Barn is over but there is no rest for the weary in theater so now I'm abandoning all my talk about masks and stilts and trucks and rain and moving on to new subjects, like porticoes and the Depression and finger-wave hairstyles and The Storm.
Okay - so maybe they're not all that different.
The point is: Hello, summer.
My director: “This is a family that has a lot of money.”
My costume designer: “This is a show that doesn't have a lot of money.”
My set designer: “I am not free the weekend of the fifteenth – NOT because it’s Gay Pride, Michael – “
My director: “I’m proud everyday.”
My set designer: “Me too.”
